Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Ovelda uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, and how you can control them.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies — such as local storage and session storage — also store data in your browser to help websites work correctly and remember your preferences.

How Ovelda uses browser storage

  • Essential functionality. We use browser local storage to remember which guides you have marked as completed and which guide you read most recently, so that your progress persists across visits on the same device.
  • Preferences. Interface preferences such as category filters may be preserved in your browser to improve the reading experience.
  • Analytics. Where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics may set a limited number of cookies to help us understand aggregate usage patterns. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Third-party cookies

Ovelda does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Any cookies set by third-party services we rely on (for hosting or analytics) are limited to the operational purposes described above.

Managing cookies and local storage

  • Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and local storage from the site settings menu.
  • Clearing local storage will reset progress tracking and other preferences stored on your device.
  • Blocking essential storage may cause some features (such as progress tracking) to stop working.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the technologies we use or the way we use them. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
